Elyot in Hospital

A few weeks ago, Elyot seemed very sick and had to go to the Royal Children's Hospital.

After a day he was seemed well again, but he and Mama had to stay a couple more days so he could complete his antibiotics and blood tests.

Here he is, happy and feeling better!

Meeting Lizzie

A few weeks ago Elyot met his lovely aunt Lizzie. She brought some great books for both him and Jackson.

Happy Birthday to Lili!

Today is Lili's birthday. A few weeks ago, Elyot had his first slumber party with Lili and Ben while Mama and Daddy went around the corner to dinner and Jackson had a slumber party with Granma.

Here's to many more birthdays and slumber parties!

Big Bath

Elyot's First Halloween

He wasn't all that impressed.

Elyot's First Holiday

Back when Elyot was 4 weeks old, he took his first family holiday to the Mt Macedeon area. It rained the whole time, so we had a nice time relaxing in our lovely house.

On Halloween, we were able to hike up Hanging Rock--Elyot's first hike!


We had lunch at the nice cafe at the bottom.

On our last night, Granma joined us, and we found a lovely private garden to tour all together.

We had a nice time being a family all together.

Elyot's First Smiles

Elyot started smiling the day he turned 4 weeks old. Mama managed to catch it the second time it happened that day:

(Now, at 7 weeks, he smiles a lot, and gets a real kick out of tickles and other people's smiles.)

Some Special Gifts

Elyot was happy to receive some special gifts from Granma and Lili back in October. Just like Jackson, Granma gave him some very special first edition Australian classic children's books, a lovely Hardy Bros silver rattle and some family heirlooms: some McDonald's toys! Lili managed to procure a beautiful blanket by the same maker who made Jackson's when he was baby. Lovely.

1st Beach Trip

The weekend before Elyot turned 2 weeks old was lovely, so we took a trip down to Black Rock Beach. Elyot had some milk, we had some lunch, and Jackson played in the sand.

A Visit With Angus and Rachel

When we were in hopsital, Angus brought us some nice eggs from the hens Regina and Lulu. They were from the dates of and around Elyot's birth!



Our first weekend home we had a nice visit with Angus and Rachel and the hens in Spotswood: Elyot's first real trip.
